This workshop was held in Mr. Le Van Su's pepper garden (Dak N'DRung Commune, Dak Song District, Dak Nong Province). Dak Song is an agricultural production district known for its coffee and pepper crops. Crop and fruit tree cultivation has increased in recent years. However, because people have yet to perfect planting and care procedures, output is poor and economic efficiency remains low. PVCFC assists farmers in mastering fertilization processes through demonstration models and workshops.

The workshop on pepper demonstration model with N.Humate+TE was well-attended by farmers in the commune.

Farmers and delegates had the opportunity to visit the model and participate in discussions with household owners and agricultural experts about pepper plant care techniques from soil, variety selection, planting, care and fertilization to harvest, particularly post-harvest care techniques to suit local ecology, as well as the orientations of state management authorities in the field of pepper agriculture.

Mr. Su, the pepper garden's owner, used N.Humate+TE for 0.5 ha (650 pepper trees), yielding 3.5 tons/ha on average. April 2019 was the estimated harvest date. The first stage testing result: the percentage of plants with yellow leaves attributable to infection in the trial garden was just 0.4 percent, compared to 1.23% in the control garden. The percentage of ears/branches in the trial garden reached 94.1 percent after 2 fertilization cycles, compared to 84.7% in the control garden (higher than 9.4%). N.Humate +TE helps to save fertilizer by stimulating plant roots to grow quickly, robustly, and abundantly, increasing nutrient absorption efficiency. It also helps pepper plants grow well, healthy, flower uniformly, and provide a high fruit setting rate and remarkable yield. In addition to enhancing pepper yield and quality, the product promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the soil, making it more fertile.

Farmers from Dak N'DRung commune attend a workshop on the N.Humate+TE pepper demonstration model.

The economic effectiveness of the idea was highly regarded by the delegates and farmers at the workshop. Farmers learn pepper care techniques through the demonstration model, and after completing technical training courses, they can choose pepper varieties to plant based on their production conditions and market demands.

Mr. Su's pepper garden was lush and green after the first application of N.Humate+TE

The percentage of ears/branches in the N.Humate+TE-fertilized pepper garden is 9.4% higher than in the control garden

The workshop's model monitoring and evaluation results show that while pepper is a demanding crop to grow, it can nevertheless provide a high yield with proper care and fertilization. However, in order to effectively implement pepper development in the area, the model must be replicated among farmers.
